Visit the Earthling Tent, in partnership with Thurrock Library – help us to Solve the World’s Worst Crime – the Climate Emergency. The tent will be packed with story-telling, writing and bunting-making. Plus you’ll be able to plant acorns with Essex author Ray Starr who has just published the first in her trilogy of books, Earthlings.
Watch out for the Midnight Robber – a giant puppet who will be wandering the site throughout the day (10.30-11.10; 12.30-13.13; 14.45-15.50)
The Great Big Book Giveaway – your chance to pick a free book in exchange for a visit to the Earthlings Tent where you will be invited to join in the quest to Solve the World’s Worst Crime by writing your own pledge.
Take a look at Kinetika’s massive silk screen flags which will be on display. Kinetika will also be doing a procession of their Platinum Jubilee flags to the site, and will be opening up their studio (1 – 4pm) to show how the flags were made and the inspiration behind them.
