Most bookings can be made through the Mercury Theatre Box Office, or online at essexbookfestival.org.uk – However, some events have different box offices and booking lines, so please check the individual events page.

Mercury Theatre Box Office

Tickets can be booked online or where shown, tickets can be booked via Mercury Theatre Box Office (10am to 8pm Tuesday to Saturday) in person or by telephone.

There will be no booking charges made by the Mercury Theatre although there will be a charge of £1.50 for postage unless tickets are collected from the theatre.

If you book online you can print off your own ticket.

Bookings will be taken until 3 hours before the start of the event. Remaining tickets will be on sale on the door.

Essex Book Festival Tickets

Some of our events are ticketed via Eventbrite e.g. digital events or free / donation events which require booking. This is through Essex Book Festival but ticketing information will arrive to your inbox via Eventbrite.

E-Tickets

When booking tickets online you should receive an email containing your e-ticket. Depending on which box office is used for the event, your tickets could come from one of the following email addresses:

If you haven’t received your e-tickets please add these email addresses to your email safe/contact list and check your spam or junk folders.

CONCESSSIONS

Concession prices are available to Students, Under 27s and Unwaged. Please provide proof of age or relevant ID on ticket purchase and at events.

DISABLED ACCESS

Essex Book Festival is a partnership programme with multiple partners. Please advise the Box Office if you have any access requirements when making a booking.

Visitors with a disability are offered a free ticket for a companion. If you require a BSL interpreter, please advise the Box Office and we will do our best to accommodate this.

REFUNDS

The festival cannot refund money or exchange tickets except if an event is cancelled. In the event of a cancellation the Box Office will contact you and issue you a refund within 30 days.
