The tenth Stand Up For Diversity took place in November 2022. Essex Cultural Diversity Project and Essex Book Festival teamed up with the Mercury Theatre, to bring people together and celebrate diversity in theatre and the performing arts.
We were delighted to have Chileya Mwampulo host the event and as part of the evening, this wonderful film was screened. The film was created by Chileya along with Gail Egbeson, both Mercury Playwright Alumni, to celebrate Black History Month and to shine a light on the contribution, voices and achievements of those of African and/or Caribbean heritage.
