Our crowdfunder for Essex Book Festival 2021: #BackWithABang launches today.
Thanks to exceptional support from friends and partners, plus an Emergency Grant from Arts Council England, the ‘show’ is still on the road for 2021. Essex Book Festival will be moving from March to June-August to ensure that we have as much flexibility as possible in terms of venues and types of events.
However the size of the ‘show’ hangs in the balance, and will depend on support from our funders and kind donations from others.
Which is why we are launching our Crowdfunding Project today:
Essex Book Festival 2021: #BackWithABang
Our target is to raise £8,000 over the next six weeks. All money raised will go towards writer/artist fees and expenses, and additional venue and production costs for next year’s festival. Let’s face it, as for so many others, 2020 has not been an easy year for writers and artists.
We are delighted to be offering some fabulous pledge rewards, including Zooming Wonderful Coffee Mornings with Syd Moore, Liz Trenow and James Canton, Mystery Books, Young Essex Screen Printing Workshops, 1-2-1 How to Get Published Sessions with literary agent Camilla Shestopal, Festival Passes, and many more. Everyone who pledges will get a mention in next year’s Essex Book Festival Brochure.
