Following the success of last year’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Castle Park Theatre returns with the Bard’s ultimate power couple.
For centuries, audiences all over the world have delighted in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, a gripping tale of greed, murder and the supernatural, and Castle Park Theatre’s production promises to be as equally intriguing and visually stunning.
With a cast made-up of professional actors, who have performed Shakespeare all over the country and further afield, Macbeth runs from June 5 to 22 in Colchester’s award-winning park, before going out on tour to Prested Hall near Feering and Maldon’s Promenade Park.
The cast will be joined by a troupe of community performers, who as well as performing on the open-air stage, will be discovering some new theatrical skills thanks to some of the best creatives in the business.
As with last year’s show, which had more than a thousand people and 200 schoolchildren attending, a bar serving drinks, ice creams and light nibbles will be open before and during the interval.
Gates open at 6.30pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm and running until 9.30pm.
Tickets for the show are priced £16 and £14 for concessions, available from the Castle Park Theatre website at www.castleparktheatre.co.uk.
