Just over one week left to apply to Metal’s Artist-in-Residence 2022/23 programme!

They’re offering 21 residencies across the year, to creatives who live and/or work locally to them. The residency offer is for a short period of focused research and development time, for a new or existing project, with the support of Metal staff and facilities. Each selected artist will receive a fee of £1000. Artists working in any artform are welcome, and individuals, collaborations and collectives can apply!

Take a look at what some of their previous residency artists have said about their experience at Metal:

“It was extremely helpful to be surrounded by an organisation who clearly believed in what we were doing. Our confidence when talking about our work has improved so much more!”

“It gave us money and time to develop an existing project. It was well supported, and Metal really put the artist at the centre of the residency which opened many other doors for us.”

“I did not expect it to kick off so much connection and interaction locally, which has been an absolute joy.”

If you’d like to apply to be part of Metal’s Artist-in-Residence 2022/23 programme, there’s still time! Visit metalculture.com to find out more.
