The Reading Round

Every week on Tuesdays (from September 21st)
Chalkwell Hall, Chalkwell Park, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 8NB
6pm – 7.30pm

Join acclaimed novelist, writer and experienced tutor, Syd Moore, to discover a range of stories and poems for pleasure. Texts are presented and read out loud in each session -all you need to do is join in the discussion.

Syd Moore is a writer, presenter, screenwriter, curator and former Royal Literary Fund Fellow. Best known for her Essex Witch Museum Mysteries (Strange Magic, Strange Sight, Strange Fascination, Strange Tombs and Strange Tricks) that feature Rosie Strange and Sam Stone and were shortlisted for the Good Reader Holmes and Watson Award 2018. She has also written short stories – The Twelve Strange Days of Christmas (2019) has been shortlisted twice for a prestigious ‘dagger award’ by the Crime Writers Association. She is also the author of two stand-alone novels, The Drowning Pool (2011) and Witch Hunt (2012)
