Scallywags Press, Children’s workshops
| Essex Book Festival is teaming up with children’s publisher Scallywag Press for a series of fabulous author/artist events as part of our Festival Finale.
All events are suitable for ages 4+ An adult must accompany children. |
| Rob Ramsden
Join Rob Ramsden as he reads from his brilliant picture book I Saw a Bee. He’ll also be exploring nature and the importance of bees through an activity inspired by Cressing Temple Barns own buzzy inhabitants.
Inbal Leitner Inspired by her book The Longest Strongest Thread, Inbal Leitner will be running a workshop to help children reflect on how connections with loved ones stay strong, even if they can’t always see or be near them, using pre-inked papers and coloured pencils to create a story and collage.
Deborah Chancellor Discover where your food comes from with author Deborah Chancellor! Deborah will help little ones explore the food they eat every day to find out where it comes from and how it ends up on the table in her fun Follow My Food writing workshop. She’ll also read from her new book Milly Cow Gives Milk.
Rose Robbins Join Rose Robbins as she reads from her new book LOUD! and runs a noisy workshop that plans to live up to the book’s title!
Marjoke Henrichs Author and illustrator Marjoke Henrich’s funny debut book No Said Rabbit! follows a little rabbit on his ‘no’ saying day and warmly captures a story familiar to parents and children alike! Join Marjoke as she gives a story reading and drawing workshop for creative little ones.
