Everyone is invited to our bumper one-day event – Greenwood Words – in Burnham-on-Crouch as part of our Jubilee celebrations.
Including performances by leading East Anglian storytellers Glenys Newton and Marion Leeper who will be channelling King Canute, Neptune and The Green Man amongst others, a host of free family arts and crafts workshops all focusing on The Natural World, a plethora of pop-up writing desks dotted around town waiting to be scribbled at, creating gratitude jars with wellbeing charity Heads2Minds, plus the opportunity to plant a sunflower – resist it at your peril!
Date and time: Thursday 2nd June, 12.00 – 4.00pm
Venue: Burnham-on-Crouch, some activities will be in Burnham Baptist Church Hall and others will take place along the quayside.
Tickets: All activities are free and drop-in, no booking required.
Leading East Anglian Storyteller Marion Leeper will be leading walkers on a magical walk around Burnham-on-Crouch town celebrating the magic and myth of the Green Man and others. Walks will leave on the hour from outside Burnham Baptist Church – 12.00midday, 1.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm
Join award-winning storyteller Glenys Newton who will be telling tales of King Canute and more on the Quayside, near Ye Olde White Harte Hotel.
