Do the Arts have a leading role to play in tackling Climate Change? Is individual action pointless in the face of Climate Change? These and other Climate Change topics will be debated by campaigners, authors, artists, students and scientists during the Long Table Discussion.
Taking part in the debate will be writer, performer and Essex Book Festival patron AL Kennedy; founder of Writers Rebel Monique Roffey, Colchester Extinction Rebellion, Arctic Circle Artist Beatrice Von Preussen, playwright Andrew Burton and more.
1:30-3:30pm Hot Spot Presentations
Short snappy talks from authors, artists and academics sharing their views on how to tackle climate change. Presenters include Lu Williams (Artist, Curator and Director of Grrrl Zine Fair), Lily Hunter Green (Artist working on an immersive bee installation), AL Kennedy who will read her Climate Change poem from XR Trafalgar Square and many more.
