Lavenham Children’s Literary Festival

Friday 28 – Saturday 29 October 2016

The Swan at Lavenham are proud to announce the first Lavenham Children’s Literary Festival, held during October Half-Term. There will be lots of activities for youngsters and their families, including ‘meet the authors’, storytelling and workshops on drawing, writing and illustrating.

Lavenham is the perfect setting for this festival celebrating children’s literature. The famous nursery rhyme ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’ was penned in Lavenham by Jane Taylor in 1806. She lived in our beautiful Suffolk village with her parents and her older sister, Ann, and both girls regularly attended dance classes at The Swan.
