Join author James Nicol as he introduces you to The Apprentice Witch in his fully interactive talk ‘What Makes A Witch’. Fun and gory facts about real witches, a game to test your witchy book knowledge and some dressing up all combine for an hour of entertainment for all budding apprentices!

When Arianwyn fluffs her all-important witch’s assessment she is sent to protect the dreary town of Lull. But life in Lull is far from dull and as Arianwyn struggles with her spells a mysterious darkness begins to haunt her. But where did the inspiration come from? What type of witch is Arianwyn, and exactly how loud does a witch cackle? A story and event full of mystery, adventure and enchantment!

James Nicol has loved books and stories his whole life. As a child, he spent hours absorbed in novels, watching epic 1980s cartoons or adventuring in the wood at the bottom of the garden. He lives on the edge of the Cambridgeshire Fens.
